1 <br />1 <br />1 <br />2� <br />TUESDAY, OCTOBER 14th 1930. <br />The Board of County Commissioners in and for Indian River County, Florida, met at <br />the Court House in Vero Beach, on Tuesday, October 14th 1930, at 10 o'clock A.b.with <br />the following members of the Board present: Albert O.Helseth, Chairman; J.D.Yongue; <br />J.W,IaBruee; J.J.P.Hamilton and John H Atkin,. Also present were biles Warren, Clerk <br />and Clark S. Rice, sheriff. <br />Mr. C. J. Jacoby appeared before the Board respecting the 'Jail grounds and offered <br />to place a row of trees around the jail grounds in memory of his wife. it was o rde red <br />that the Mheriff ascertain cost of such trees qtr. Jacoby agreeing to pay for same. <br />-.-The-, Clerk announced he had received the sum of $3,321.38 representing dividend <br />check from Vero Beach Bank & Trust Company. It:was ordered that the same be placed in <br />the following funds, to -wit: <br />General Revenue- Fund... ,,,,,$l,124.53 <br />Quay Bridge District......... 700.00 <br />Vero Bridge District......... 300.00 <br />Road & Bridge Fund........... 19196.85 <br />039321.38 <br />The Clerk was instructed to write F.H.Conrad about cutting timber on Tract 706 <br />Tp 32 .E R 37 East, as the taxes have not been paid. <br />It was ordered that the Chairman and Clerk execute release for John LeRoy Hutch - <br />icon Properties, a <br />corporation, from <br />the judgment held by this Board as <br />to the lands <br />which E,M.Gollnick <br />holds a mortgage, <br />upon the payment of the State and <br />County taxes <br />due on the property. <br />The Clerk was authorized to settle balance due of $19646.88 to Pauley Jail Build - <br />ing Company either in Time Warrants or a Time Warrant and cash. <br />It was ordered that bis Louis Wood be stricken from the bother's Pension list, <br />it being made known she is now re si ding in Georgia. <br />Mr. iSnith, representing McNeill Lumber Company appeared before the Board request- <br />ing road be put in condition at the Dyke line so as to be used to haul logs to ,saw <br />mill now operating in that vicinity. It uses ordered D.L.Leisher, County Engineer look <br />into this and see what can be done to remedy the situation. <br />E C. Dancey appeared before the Board regarding the Fee & Baughman ditch. It was <br />ordered that the first time the County Engineer is in that vicinity the ditch be carried) <br />to the creek;/ <br />It was ordered the County Engineer co-operate with the -5heriff in putting jail. <br />grounds in shape and proper condition by loaning the :sheriff tools and truck when needed. <br />gush work not to be in detriment to the Road program of the County. <br />It vas ordered that the Clerk noti the agent of the Campbell Arcade building <br />that this Board is not interested in the uilding as a Court House under any circum- <br />stances. <br />The following names having been certified as nominees for the office designated, <br />by the Secretary of 'State, it was ordered that such names be placed on the official <br />General. Election Ballot of the County for the election to be held Tuesday November 4th <br />1930; <br />REPRESENTATIVE IN CONGRESS 4th DISTRICT. <br />Ruth Bryan Owen, <br />SECRETARY OF STATE. <br />R. A.
