This chapter, the terms and provisions <br />contained herein shall be known as the "Single Family Development <br />Ordinance" of Indian River County, Florida. <br />Section 912.02 Purpose and Intent <br />The purpose and intent of this chapter is to establish regulations <br />to protect and further the health, safety, and welfare of Indian <br />River County residents in regards to single-family development, <br />and to present and explain other regulations affecting properties <br />which may be developed and used for single family residential <br />purposes. It is also the purpose and intent of this chapter to <br />establish regulations in conformance with the adopted <br />comprehensive plan and other land use regulations. <br />226 <br />
