Providing (tr'int Resolution)3/25le7(ENG)RES LMAG\ktp <br />RESOLUTION NO.99._18 <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF COUNTY <br />COMMISSIONERS OF INDIAN RIVER COUNTY, FLORIDA, <br />PROVIDING FOR CERTAIN PAVING AND DRAINAGE <br />IMPROVEMENTS TO ISTII AVENUE BETWEEN IST PLACE & <br />2ND STREET, PROVIDING THE TOTAL ESTIMATED COST, <br />METHOD OF PAYMENT OF ASSESSMENTS, NUMBER OF <br />ANNUAL INSTALLMENTS. AND LEGAL DESCRIPTION OF <br />TTIE AREA SPECIFICALLY BENEFITTED. <br />WHEREAS, the County Public Works Department has been petitioned for Road <br />Paving and Drainage Improvement for 186 Avenue between l" place and 2nd Srreet. <br />WHEREAS, the construction of paving and drainage improvements by special <br />assessment funding is authorized by Chapter 206, Section 205.01 rhrough 205 09, lndian River <br />County Code; and cost estimates and preliminary assessment rolls have been completed by the public <br />Works Department; and the total estimated cost of the proposed paving and drainage improvements <br />iS TWENTY TWO THOUSAND THREE HUNDRED TWENTY SEVEN DoLLARS and <br />SEVENTY SIX CENTS (522,32t.76); and <br />WHEREAS, the special assessment provided hereunder shall, for any given record <br />owner of property within the area specially benefitted, be in an amount equal to that proportion of <br />seventy-five percent (75%) of the total cost of the project ($16,745.82) which rhe number of lineal <br />feet ofroad frontage owned by lhe given owner bears to the total number oflineal feet ofroad <br />frontage within the areas specially benefitted plus two percent (2%) of the propeny owners <br />assessment for collection fees and twenty-five percent (25%) of the total cost of the project <br />($5,581.94) will come from Petition Paving Account. Assessments are to be levied against all lots <br />and lands adjoining and contiguous or bounding and abutting upon the improvements or specially <br />benefitted thereby and further designated by the assessmenr plat with respect to the special <br />assessments; and <br />WHEREAS, the special assessment shall beconre due and payable at the tndian River <br />County Utility Services Department ninety (90) days after the final deternrination of the special <br />assessment pursuant to Section 206.08, Indian River County Code; and <br />A:\9606 Rcs.Providing{nag.tvpd
