SECTION 00530 — EJCDC STANDARD FORM OF AGREEMENT <br />BETWEEN OWNER AND CONTRACTOR ON THE BASIS OF A STIPULATED PRICE <br />THIS AGREEMENT ("Agreement" or "Contract"), dated the 3rd day of November in the <br />year 2009 by and between Indian River County, a political subdivision of the State of Florida <br />(hereinafter called OWNER) and Masci Corporation_(hereinafter called CONTRACTOR). <br />OWNER and CONTRACTOR, in consideration of the mutual covenants hereinafter set forth, agree <br />as follows: <br />ARTICLE 1 WORK <br />CONTRACTOR as an independent contractor and not as an employee shall furnish <br />and complete all of the necessary labor, material, and equipment to perform the work <br />as specified or indicated in the Contract Documents. The work is generally described <br />as follows: <br />IRCDUS proposes to convert approximately 1150 ft. of a 16" diameter Brine Line <br />Transmission main to a Domestic Water Use Transmission and Distribution main. <br />The Brine Line main is located on 77°i St., and runs from the North County ROWTP, east <br />along 77th St., then runs north on Old Dixie Hwy, east and then north from 84th St to Sunset <br />Ave, then east on CR510 to the Indian River Lagoon, where it discharges into the Lagoon. <br />The proposal herein includes converting only the first 1150 ft of the main east of the WTP <br />along 77h St.. The main will be connected to an existing 30" water main on 581' Ave, at the <br />intersection of 58th Ave and 77h St. <br />The contract also requires the converted utility main to be cleaned, pressure tested, <br />disinfected, and tested for contaminants (chemical, viral, biological), and also <br />requires the construction of: <br />• Connection to an existing 30" potable water main (30" x 16" tapping sleeve <br />and 16" valve) <br />• Directional bore 88 LF of 16" HDPE water main beneath 58`" Avenue <br />• Construction of approximately 67 LF of new 16" PVC potable water main <br />• Construction of two (2) fire hydrant assemblies <br />The construction of the utility improvements described above shall also consist of, <br />but not limited to: resetting of signs, mailboxes, and other existing facilities <br />disturbed during construction; utilities exploration; coordination with any permitting <br />agencies; trenching; clearing and tree removal; dewatering; installation of pipe with <br />fittings and all appurtenances; valves, fire hydrant assemblies; wet taps; restrainers; <br />air release valves; line stops; soil compaction; disinfection; testing; (including <br />providing temporary jumper or another approved method for disinfection and <br />flushing); road restoration; regrading and grassing (sod); and traffic control. <br />00530-1 <br />
