` p8lf <br />ATTORNEY COLLINS POINTED OUT THAT THE $51,733.00 IS JUST <br />THE PAYMENT TO THE PROPERTY OWNER; THERE ARE ADDITIONAL COSTS, AND <br />THE TOTAL COST SHOULD BE $59,371.53. <br />COMMISSIONER FLETCHER ASKED IF THE NEED FOR THE ROAD WAS <br />BECAUSE OF THE BENT PINES SUBDIVISION, AND HE WAS INFORMED THAT THE <br />ROAD WAS PLANNED FOR SOME TIME BEFORE THE SUBDIVISION WENT IN. <br />CHAIRMAN LYONS FELT THE BOARD WOULD HAVE A BETTER UNDER— <br />STANDING OF THE SITUATION IF THEY HAD BEEN PROVIDED WITH A MAP. <br />COMMISSIONER I"aODTKE INQUIRED IF THE ACQUISITION OF THIS <br />RIGHT—OF—WAY WILL GIVE US ALL THE RIGHT—OF—WAY NECESSARY, AND ATTORNEY <br />COLLINS STATED THAT THIS IS THE LAST PIECE; OTHER PIECES WERE <br />PREVIOUSLY CONDEMNED. HE COMMENTED THAT THE ACQUISITION DOLLARS CAN <br />COME FROM THE STATE GAS TAX FUNDS BUT BECAUSE OF THE TIME FACTOR, <br />AND THE NEED FOR IMMEDIATE PAYMENT, IT IS RECOMMENDED THAT WE <br />TEMPORARILY USE THE FUNDS FROM OUR COUNTY TRUST FUND, WHICH WILL BE <br />REPLENISHED. <br />DISCUSSION FOLLOWED AS TO THE ATTORNEYS' FEES INVOLVED, <br />AND ATTORNEY COLLINS EXPLAINED THAT PROPERTY OWNERS' ATTORNEY'S <br />FEES, FOR WHICH IT IS REQUIRED THAT HE BE REIMBURSED, WERE $13,500 <br />PLUS OTHER COSTS FOR APPRAISALS, ETC., OF $4,500. THE FEES FOR THE <br />COUNTY;ATTORNEY'S FIRM AMOUNTED TO AROUND $4,00045,000. ATTORNEY <br />COLLINS NOTED THAT IT WAS FORTUNATE THAT THERE WERE A GREAT DEAL <br />OF MURPHY RESERVATIONS SO THAT THE COUNTY DID NOT HAVE TO ACQUIRE <br />ABOUT 90% OF THE RIGHT—OF—WAY. <br />ON MOTION BY COMMISSIONER WODTKE, SECONDED BY COMMISSIONER <br />BIRD, THE BOARD UNANIMOUSLY ACCEPTED THE RECOMMENDATION OF THE <br />ADMINISTRATOR IN HIS MEMO OF APRIL 7TH, AMENDING THE $70,000 FIGURE <br />TO $59,371.53,. <br />THE BOARD REVIEWED THE ADMINISTRATORS MEMO AS FOLLOWS: <br />63 <br />
