ATTORNEY COLLINS ARRIVED AT THE MEETING AT 8:55 O'CLOCK A.M. <br />LENGTHY DISCUSSION FOLLOWED, AND COMMISSIONER FLETCHER <br />WAS INTERESTED IN GATHERING THE BOARD'S IDEAS ON HOW THEY COULD GIVE <br />THE ADMINISTRATOR SOME ASSISTANCE IN IMPLEMENTING THIS WORK. <br />ADMINISTRATOR NELSON SUGGESTED HAVING A WORKSHOP MEETING <br />ON THIS SUBJECT ON WEDNESDAY, MAY 27, 1981 AT 7:00 O'CLOCK. <br />THE CHAIRMAN CALLED FOR THE QUESTION. IT WAS VOTED ON <br />AND CARRIED UNANIMOUSLY. <br />:CLERICAL ASSISTANCE FOR SECRETARY TO BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS <br />THE BOARD NEXT CONSIDERED THE FOLLOWING MEMORANDUM FOR <br />ADMINISTRATOR NELSON: <br />TO: Honorable Members of the ®ATE: April 7, 1981 FILE: <br />Board of County Commissioners <br />SUBJECT: Clerical Assistance for <br />Secretary to the Board of <br />County Commissioners <br />FROM: Neil A. Nelson REFERENCES: <br />County Administrator <br />DESCRIPTION AND CONDITIONS <br />The increasing work load placed upon the office of the Board of County <br />Commissioners necessitates the addition of clerical assistance to relieve <br />the Secretary to the Board from the more routine clerical functions. This <br />addition will enable the Board's Secretary to devote more time to the business <br />of tbe'Board requiring greater responsibility, such as handling of public <br />inquiries and contacts, and Agenda preparation. <br />RECOMMENDATION AND FUNDING <br />It is recommended the Board authorize establishment of one Clerk -Typist <br />position, effective May 1, 1981, to be budgeted within the account for the <br />office of the Board of County Commissioners, with transfer from the General <br />Fund - Reserve for Contingencies Account. Estimated. costs are: <br />- FY 1980-81 <br />A. Personnel $ 4,200.00 <br />B. Equipment & <br />Supplies 500.00 <br />Total $ 4,700.00 <br />FY 1981-82 <br />
