PROPOSED PROGRAMS AND BUDGET <br />CMIUNITY DEVELOPMENT BLOCK GRANT - 1981 <br />Southeast Gifford Project <br />PROJECT <br />DESCRIPTION <br />PROPOSED BUDGET <br />NO. <br />TITLE <br />1. <br />Rehabilitation: Program will provide <br />$ <br />funds for improvement of 20 dwellings <br />including such activities as rewiring, <br />improving plumbing, septic tank repair <br />or'replacement, roofing and general <br />upgrading of the unit. <br />180,000 <br />2. <br />Streets: Project will improve and pave <br />approximately 500 feet of streets. <br />10,000 <br />3. <br />Park & Playground: 17th Avenue, which <br />Has not been opened between 38th Lane and <br />37th Avenue, provides nearly one acre of <br />ground suitable for improvement as a <br />linear park and playground area. This <br />application will fund one-half of the area. <br />7,000 <br />4. <br />Water Service: As part of the improvement <br />of the Gifford system, water service has <br />been provided in the southeast area. Pro- <br />ject will include in the process of reha- <br />bilitation assistance in providing service <br />lines to individual dwellings. <br />20,000 <br />5. <br />Relocation Assistance: The scope of this <br />project will require the permanent relo- <br />cation of a few families. The remainder <br />of this assistance will support families <br />which need to be relocated temporarily _ <br />while repairs are being made to their <br />dwellings. <br />24,000 <br />6. <br />Administration: This includes all manage- <br />ment an operating costs for the -project. <br />43,000 <br />7. <br />�Planning: This item includes program and <br />application preparation for the project. <br />15,000 <br />-8. <br />Contin en�ci.eess-: This is to cover unantici- <br />nantici- <br />pated <br />patedin ion or other -increased project <br />costs and may be used for local discretion- <br />ary activLties -in the project area, <br />16,000 <br />- <br />$ 315,000 <br />MAY 61991 24 ,Q. <br />
