JUN 31991 <br />AUTHORITY TO REPRESENT COUNTY'S INTEREST <br />THE BOARD NEXT DISCUSSED THE -FOLLOWING MEMORANDUM: <br />TO: DATE: FILE: <br />Board of County Commissioners May 28, 1981 <br />SUBJECT: <br />FROM: Attorney George G. REFERENCES: <br />Collins-, Jr. <br />Commissioners, regarding the Administration Building <br />Arbitration, and Clifford R. O'Donnell versus Indian River <br />County, these matters are now at the litigation stage. On <br />behalf of, the firm, I would appreciate authority to represent <br />the County's interests. <br />Regarding Treasure Coast Utilities, Inc., it is re- <br />commended that Eric Meyers, of Shutts - Bowen, along with our <br />6 PnE 6o4 <br />7 <br />firm's coordination, be retained to represent the County's interests. <br />ON MOTION MADE BY COMMISSIONER SCURLOCK, SECONDED BY <br />COMMISSIONER WODTKE, THE BOARD UNANIMOUSLY AUTHORIZED THE ATTORNEY TO <br />REPRESENT THE COUNTY'S INTERESTS, AND THAT HIS RECOMMENDATION BE <br />APPROVED, AS SET OUT IN THE MEMO OF MAY 28, 1981. <br />TREASURE COAST UTILITIES <br />ATTORNEY COLLINS STATED THAT ENGINEER .JOHN ROBBINS, UTILITIES <br />DIRECTOR GEORGE LINER.,AND HE MET WITH CHARLES BURKETT IN REFERENCE TO <br />APPRAISING THE TREASURE COAST UTILITIES SYSTEM. HE ADDED THAT HE <br />ANTICIPATED THIS INFORMATION WOULD BE USED IN THE COURT PROCEEDINGS. <br />ON MOTION BY COMMISSIONER SCURLOCK, SECONDED BY COMMISSIONER <br />WODTKE, THE BOARD UNANIMOUSLY AUTHORIZED THE APPRAISAL OF THE TREASURE <br />COAST UTILITIES BY CHARLES BURKETT FOR AN AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED $5,000. <br />
