SECTION 01060 <br />REGULATORY REQUIREMENTS AND NOTIFICATION <br />PART 1 --GENERAL <br />1.01 PERMITS REQUIRED <br />A. Indian River County Utility Right -of -Way. <br />B. Indian River Farms Water Control District (iRFWCD) Utility Crossings <br />C. Other Permits Required: The Contractor is responsible for obtaining any temporary <br />discharge permits that may be required by local drainage districts as well as any <br />additional permits that may be necessary to comp ate the Work. <br />9.02 NOTIFICATION <br />A. Indian River County. The Contractor is required to notify the Indian River County <br />Utilities Department 48 hours prior to initiating construction (Larry Brown, 772-226- <br />1827). The Contractor is required to notify the Indian River County Road and <br />Bridge Department 7^4 hours prior to blocking any County roads or detouring any <br />traffic (Terry R. Cook, 772-770-5085). <br />B. Utility Companies. Contractor shall notify the utility companies in the area 48 hours <br />prior to initiating construction and contact SunShine State One Call (1-800-432- <br />4770). A list of contacts can be obtained by contacting Larry Brown, 772-226-1827- <br />C. The Contractor shall give the Engineer not less than seven (7) calendar days <br />notice of the time and place (or places) where he will start the work. <br />D. When the Contractor's excavating operations encounter prehistoric remains or <br />artifacts of historical or archeological significance, the operations shall be <br />temporarily discontinued in that area and the Engineer shall be notified. The <br />Engineer will consult archaeological authorities and determine the disposition of the <br />remains or artifacts.
