EXECUTION <br />Installation <br />All installation methods & handling of material (the execution of the work) shall be in accordance <br />with the reference specifications, and in accordance with specifications found in the other parts <br />of the contract documents, including: <br />Documents: <br />A. All sections of Division 2 —Technical Specificatio, Is <br />Protection of Existing Mains <br />it is acknowledged that there are areas where proposed mains and conduits will be constructed <br />in close proximity to existing mains that must remain in service. Attention is directed to the fact <br />that the proposed mains may be not only in close proximity horizontally, but the new mains may <br />also at some locations need to constructed at a greater depth than the existing mains. It shall <br />be the Contractor's responsibility to take measures to provide support and/or restraints to <br />maintain existing mains as necessary during the construction process utilizing sheet piling, <br />restrained joints and/or other methods.
