14.02 The Bid price shall include such amounts as the Bidder deems proper for overhead and <br />profit on account of cash allowances, if any, named in the Contract Documents as provided in <br />paragraph 11.02 of the General Conditions. <br />14.03 The Bidder's attention is called to the fact that any estimate of quantities of work to be <br />done and materials to be furnished under the Specifications as shown on the Bid Schedule, or <br />elsewhere, is approximate only and not guaranteed. The OWNER does not assume any <br />responsibility that the final quantities shall remain in strict accordance with the estimated <br />quantities, nor shall the Bidder plead misunderstanding or deception because of such estimate <br />of quantities or of the character, location of the work, or other conditions pertaining thereto. <br />ARTICLE 15 - SUBMITTAL OF BID <br />15.01 The Bid form is to be completed and submitted with the Bid security and the following data: <br />A. Sworn Statement under Section 105.08, Indian River County Code, on Disclosure of <br />Relationships. <br />B. Sworn Statement under the Florida Trench Safety Act. <br />C. General Information Required of Bidders. <br />D. List of Subcontractors. <br />E. Local Business Certification Form <br />15.02 A Bid shall be submitted no later than the date and time prescribed and at the place <br />indicated in the advertisement or invitation to Bid and shall be enclosed in an opaque sealed <br />envelope plainly marked with the Project title (and, if applicable, the designated portion of the <br />Project for which the Bid is submitted), the name and address of Bidder, and shall be <br />accompanied by the Bid security and other required documents. If mail or other delivery system <br />sends a Bid, the sealed envelope containing the Bid shall be enclosed in a separate envelope <br />plainly marked on the outside with the notation "BID ENCLOSED." A mailed Bid shall be <br />addressed to Indian River County, Purchasing Division, 1801 27th Street, Vero Beach, Florida, <br />32960. <br />ARTICLE 16 - MODIFICATION AND WITHDRAWAL OF BID <br />16.01 A Bid may be modified or withdrawn by an appropriate document duly executed in the <br />manner that a Bid must be executed and delivered to the place where Bids are to be submitted <br />prior to the date and time for the opening of Bids. <br />16.02 If within 24 hours after Bids are opened any Bidder files a duly signed written notice with <br />OWNER and promptly thereafter demonstrates to the reasonable satisfaction of OWNER that <br />there was a material and substantial mistake in the preparation of its Bid, that Bidder may <br />withdraw its Bid, and the Bid security will be returned.
