Metropolitan Planning Organization- To account for expenditures incurred for planning community <br />transportation in the County. Financing is provided by grants. <br />Multi -Jurisdictional Law Enforcement- To account for expenditures incurred in connection with the <br />cooperative drug enforcement task force established by the <br />County, the City of Vero Beach and the City of Sebastian. Funds <br />are provided by grants and program generated income. <br />Native Uplands Land Acquisition- To account for expenditures related to the acquisition of native <br />habitat preserve areas and for the management of such lands. <br />Funding is provided by developers of property who pay to mitigate <br />native uplands destruction where native upland plant communities <br />will be destroyed. <br />Beach Restoration- To account for the expenditure of funds to preserve and improve <br />County beaches. Funds are provided by the levy of a local option <br />tourist development tax. <br />CDBG Neighborhood Stabilization <br />Program- To account for the proceeds from the Community Development <br />Block Grant. The purpose of this grant is to provide neighborhood <br />stabilization through resale and rental of housing units purchased <br />by the grant funds. <br />Florida Boating Improvement Program- To account for boat registration fees which may be used for <br />providing recreational channel marking, public launching facilities, <br />and other boating -related activities. <br />Library Bequests- To account for bequests to the Indian River County Library to be <br />used for improvements to the Main and North County Libraries. <br />Disabled Access Program- To account for fines assessed against individuals for illegal use of <br />handicapped parking spaces. <br />Federal/State Grants- To account for revenues and expenditures of various grants from <br />Federal and State agencies. <br />Traffic Education Program- To account for the proceeds of an additional $3 add-on to traffic <br />fines authorized by County Ordinance. Proceeds must be used for <br />traffic education programs. <br />103 <br />
