2. Evacuation <br />a. Calculated clearance times are used by county emergency <br />managers as one input to determine when to recommend an <br />evacuation order. Clearance times for Indian River County <br />range from 12.5 to 27 hours (as determined by the Florida <br />Statewide Regional Evacuation Study Program, November <br />2010). <br />b. As part of the public information program, evacuation <br />information and routes are published annually in the local <br />telephone directory, as well as in an annual supplement to the <br />local newspapers, the Press Journal and the Florida Today. <br />An evacuation map is also published in the Indian River <br />County Official Disaster Preparedness Guide (see Figure 9). <br />Indian River County Comprehensive Emergency Management Plan Basic Page 95 <br />
