VII. REFERENCES AND AUTHORITIES <br />This plan replaces the Indian River County Nuclear Civil Protection Plan and the <br />Indian River County Peacetime Emergency Plan. It does not supplant the <br />Hazardous Materials Plan, which is not an operations -oriented document or the <br />Florida Radiological Emergency Management Plan for Nuclear Power Plants, which <br />was developed for response to radiological incidents under separate state and <br />federal statutory authorities. However, this plan will be used to supplement the REP <br />plan, in order to provide a comprehensive response. <br />A. Local <br />Ordinances <br />a. ORDINANCE 91-17 <br />An ordinance of Indian River County, Florida, designating the <br />Chairman of the Board of County Commissioners, or in his/her <br />absence, Vice -Chairman or Board designee, in this <br />succession, as the official with authority to declare a State of <br />Emergency in the event of natural of man-made disaster or the <br />imminent threat thereof: authorizing such official to take certain <br />emergency measures relating thereto; providing severability; <br />and providing an effective date. <br />b. ORDINANCE 91-18 <br />An ordinance of Indian River County, Florida, providing for the <br />activation of the disaster emergency plans applicable to Indian <br />River County and enumerating actions that may be taken <br />during said emergency. <br />C. ORDINANCE 2005-029 <br />An ordinance of Indian River County, Florida, for the entry onto <br />private property during the time of a declared emergency for <br />the purpose of removing debris. <br />d.
