4.3.1 Notification of Potential Emergency Conditions <br />a. Description <br />An incident or threat of a release which can be <br />controlled by the first response agencies and does not <br />require evacuation of other than the involved structure <br />or the immediate outdoor area. The incident is confined <br />to a small area and does not pose an immediate threat <br />to life or property. <br />b. Notification <br />Upon receipt of notification of a potential emergency <br />condition from the facility owner or operator the county <br />emergency communicator will notify the following <br />emergency personnel (see Figure 4-2): <br />Indian River County Department of Emergency <br />Services <br />Indian River County Department of Emergency <br />Services, Fire/Rescue Division <br />Indian River County Sheriff's Office and <br />Municipal Police Departments <br />State Warning Point <br />C. Activation <br />Activation of emergency response personnel beyond <br />the first response agencies (emergency medical <br />services, fire/rescue division, municipal police <br />departments, etc.) and partial EOC staff is not <br />anticipated for this level of emergency. The Indian <br />River County Emergency Services Director will monitor <br />the situation, coordinate local response activities, and <br />be prepared to take further action, if necessary, to <br />protect the public. <br />Indian River County Emergency Plan for Hazardous Materials Page 29 <br />
