INDIAN RIVER COUNTY JULY 25, 2014 <br />INTERGENERATIONAL RECREATION CENTER 100% CONSTRUCTION DOCUMENTS <br />D. ACI Publications: Comply with the following unless modified by requirements in the Contract <br />Documents: <br />ACI 301, "Specifications for Structural Concrete," Sections 1 through 5. <br />ACI 117, "Specifications for Tolerances for Concrete Construction and Materials." <br />E. Mockups: Cast concrete slab -on -grade and formed -surface panels to demonstrate typical <br />joints, surface finish, texture, tolerances, floor treatments, and standard of workmanship. <br />1. Build panel approximately 200 sq. ft. for slab -on -grade and 100 sq. ft. for formed surface <br />in the location indicated or, if not indicated, as directed by Architect. <br />2. Approved mockups may become part of the completed Work if undisturbed at time of <br />Substantial Completion. <br />F. Preinstallation Conference: Conduct conference at Project site. <br />1. Before submitting design mixtures, review concrete design mixture and examine <br />procedures for ensuring quality of concrete materials. Require representatives of each <br />entity directly concerned with cast -in-place concrete to attend, including the following: <br />a. Contractor's superintendent. <br />b. Ready -mix concrete manufacturer. <br />c. Concrete subcontractor. <br />d. Special concrete finish subcontractor. <br />2. Review special inspection and testing and inspecting agency procedures for field quality <br />control, concrete finishes and finishing, cold- and hot -weather concreting procedures, <br />curing procedures, construction contraction and isolation joints, and joint -filler strips, <br />semirigid joint fillers, forms and form removal limitations, shoring and reshoring <br />procedures, vapor -retarder installation, anchor rod and anchorage device installation <br />tolerances, steel reinforcement installation, floor and slab flatness and levelness <br />measurement, concrete repair procedures, and concrete protection. <br />1.6 DELIVERY, STORAGE, AND HANDLING <br />A. Waterstops: Store waterstops under cover to protect from moisture, sunlight, dirt, oil, and other <br />contaminants. <br />PART 2 - PRODUCTS <br />2.1 FORM -FACING MATERIALS <br />A. Smooth -Formed Finished Concrete: Form -facing panels that will provide continuous, true, and <br />smooth concrete surfaces. Furnish in largest practicable sizes to minimize number of joints. <br />1. Plywood, metal, or other approved panel materials. <br />2. Exterior -grade plywood panels, suitable for concrete forms, complying with DOC PS 1, <br />and as follows: <br />a. High-density overlay, Class 1 or better. <br />CAST -IN-PLACE CONCRETE 033000 - 3 <br />
