INDIAN RIVER COUNTY JULY 25, 2014 <br />INTERGENERATIONAL RECREATION CENTER 100%CONSTRUCTION DOCUMENTS <br />Bypass H -O -A mode <br />j. Automatic transfer to bypass selected <br />k. Safety open <br />I. Damper opening <br />m. Damper end -switch made <br />21. The Bypass controller shall have six programmable digital inputs, and five programmable <br />Form -C relay outputs. This I/O allows for a total System (VFD and Bypass) I/O count of <br />24 points as standard. The bypass I/O shall be available to the BAS / DDC system even <br />with the VFD removed. <br />1. The on -board Form -C relay outputs in the bypass shall programmable for any of <br />the following indications. <br />a. System started <br />b. System running <br />c. Bypass override enabled <br />d. Drive fault <br />e. Bypass fault <br />f. Bypass H -O -A position <br />g. Motor proof -of -flow (broken belt) <br />h. Overload <br />i. Bypass selected <br />j. Bypass run <br />k. System started (damper opening) <br />I. Bypass alarm <br />m. Over temperature <br />22. The bypass shall provide a separate terminal strip for connection of freeze, fire, smoke <br />contacts, and external start command. All external safety interlocks shall remain fully <br />functional whether the system is in VFD or Bypass mode. The remote start/stop contact <br />shall operate in VFD and bypass modes. The terminal strip shall allow for independent <br />connection of up to four (4) unique safety inputs. <br />23. Class 10, 20, or 30 (programmable) electronic motor overload protection shall be <br />included. <br />K. Enclosures: <br />1. Provide the VFD and bypass panels with the appropriate NEMA rated enclosure for the <br />following applications: <br />a. Indoors: NEMA 1. <br />b. Indoors (mechanical rooms): NEMA 12. <br />c. Outdoors (Protected by overhang): NEMA 3R enclosure. <br />d. Outdoors (exposed to windblown dust or water): NEMA 4 <br />2. Provide appropriate ventilation of VFD cabinetry to maintain ambient temperature rating <br />of the drive based upon application. On outdoor installations appropriate ventilation shall <br />be powered ventilation fan(s) and external 12"x12"x1"paper filter arranged so as to not <br />allow paper filter to be exposed to rain. <br />2.3 SOURCE QUALITY CONTROL <br />A. Shop, inspect and perform standard productions tests for each controller. <br />B. Make completed controllers available for inspection at manufacturer's factory prior to packaging <br />for shipment. Notify the Owner at least seven days before inspection is allowed. <br />C. Allow witnessing of factory inspections and tests at manufacturer's test facility.
