INDIAN RIVER COUNTY ORDINANCE 74- 21 <br />AN ORDINANCE AMENDING INDIAN RIVER <br />COUNTY ORDINANCE 71-3, SECTION 25 (I) <br />BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS <br />OF INDIAN RIVER COUNTY, FLORIDA, That Indian River County Ordinance <br />71-3', Section 25 (I) is hereby amended to read as follows: <br />SECTION 25: GENERAL PROVISI.ONS <br />(I) WALLS AND FENCES <br />Structural walls and fences not exceeding five (5) feet <br />in height, except barbed wire fences, are permitted <br />in required side and rear yards of all districts except <br />an agricultural district. Higher fences and walls in <br />required side and rear yards, all barbed wire fences <br />and fences and walls in all required front yards may <br />be authorized by the Zoning Commission, who shall <br />first determine that they will be visually compatible <br />in the area where they are to be located. Fences and <br />walls may not be constructed on or over dedicated <br />public drainage or utility easements or public rights- <br />of-way except in agricultural zoned areas and then <br />only with the written consent of the public authority <br />holding the easement or right-of-way. <br />This Ordinance shall become effective on the 1 S t <br />day of December 1974. <br />
