Nelson <br />County Administrator Coast Regional Planning Counc_ <br />With Certification of Budget <br />This is in response to letter dated August 2, 1981, from the <br />Treasure Coast Regional Planning Council (copy attached). It is <br />recommended that the data herein presented by given formal consider- <br />ation by the County Commission. <br />1. Description & Conditions <br />The budget which was adopted by the Treasure Coast Regional <br />planning Council at their meeting of July 17, 1981, in is <br />accordance with the Council's Inter -local Agreement. <br />The local contribution to be provided by Indian River County <br />is $17,225.00 based on a per capita assessment of $.2886 and <br />relates to the population estimate provided pursuant to Section <br />23.019 F.S.S. as of April 1980. <br />2. Recommendation & Funding <br />Funding will be provided as a projected budgeted item in the <br />amount of $17,225.00 in order to continue to participate in <br />this program with the counties of St. Lucie, Martin, and Palm <br />Beach. It is the intent of this office to include provisions <br />for this amount in the 1981-82 Budget. <br />IT WAS NOTED THAT THIS REPRESENTS A CONSIDERABLE -INCREASE <br />IN FUNDING, AND UNTIL WE CAN COMPLETE ADDRESSING OUR BUDGET AND ALSO <br />DETERMINE HOW ST. LUCIE AND MARTIN COUNTIES APPROACH THIS FUNDING, <br />IT WAS FELT PREFERABLE TO ACCEPT THIS AS A TENTATIVE FIGURE IN ORDER <br />TO ALLOW FOR SOME ADJUSTMENT, IF NECESSARY. <br />ON MOTION BY COMMISSIONER WODTKE, SECONDED BY COMMISSIONER <br />SCURLOCK, THE BOARD UNANIMOUSLY APPROVED THE $17,225 FIGURE FOR THE <br />TREASURE COAST REGIONAL PLANNING COUNCIL ON A TENTATIVE BASIS UNTIL <br />THE BUDGET CAN BE FINALIZED. <br />
