Nelson REFERENCES: County Administrator We nave received a request for an extension of the contract on the subject project. The engineer for the project has requested that the proposed completion date be extended for three weeks, twenty-one calendar days from August 10th, 1981, to August 31st, 1981. The reasons for this request is because equipment that has been expected to arrive has still not arrived and is amuck ordered`.as well as the power suL�lied by Florida Power & Light Company was not placed in the proper position to connect to the system. This change order will not effect the contract price. I have looked into the reasons for the extension of the contract and feel that the contractor could not avoid this delay; therefore, it is recommended that this contract change order be approved and that the Chairman be authorized to sign the contract change order and that it be forwarded to the Farmers Home Administration. _, 88
