tr, t ♦. • r'7•,t`•'. • n'+, : e't.i.: i'r?.rA ♦. . .t .•. <br />eft <br />INDIAN RIVER COUNTY ORDINANCE NO. <br />AN ORDINANCE AMENDING INDIAN RIVER COUNTY <br />ORDINANCE 71-3, SECTION 25 (b) (1), ENCROACH- <br />MENTS INTO REQUIRED YARDS. - - <br />BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF"COUNTY COMMIS- <br />--SIONERS OF INDIAN_-K-IVER COUNTY, FLORIDA; that Indian River <br />County Ordinance 71-3;--_Section-257=4aragrap—h—b-1,--is hereby amended <br />_ -to:-read as follows. <br />b -1. Every part of "a required yard shall be open and <br />unobstructed from the ground to the sky except as hereinafter <br />provided or as otherwise permitted in the Zoning Ordinance. <br />(a) Except for the ordinary projection of sills, belt courses, <br />cornices, buttresses, ornamental features andeaves; provided, however <br />that none of the above projections shall project into a minimum front <br />yard more than six (6) inches, nor a minimum side yard more than <br />twenty-four (24) inches. Residential roof overhangs may extend <br />forty -eight (48) inches into required yard areas. <br />(b) Swimming pools may not be erected closer than ten (10) <br />feet from the rear property line, or five (5) feet from any easement, <br />whichever is greater. <br />(c) Patios constructed in conjunction with swimming pools <br />may not be erected closer than five (5) feet from any easement or <br />rear property line. <br />(d) Screen enclosures for swimming pools may not be erected <br />closer than ten (10) feet from the rear property line, or five (5) feet <br />from any easement, whichever is greater. <br />THIS ORDINANCE SHALL TAKE EFFECT ON THE 31st <br />DAY OF <br />March 1977. <br />
