INDIAN RIVER COUNTY ORDINANCE NO. 76-21 <br />AN ORDINANCE AMENDING INDIAN RIVER COUNTY ORDINANCE 73-4 <br />SECTION 29(C), ZONING COMMISSION, BY ADDING AN ADDITIONAL <br />NAME TO THE COMMISSION, WHICH AS AMENDED, SHALL BE "THE <br />PLANNING AND ZONING COMMISSION". <br />BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF INDIAN <br />RIVER COUNTY, FLORIDA, that Indian River County Ordinance 73-4, <br />Section 29 C is hereby amended in toto as -follows: <br />SECTION 29 Administrative Provisions: <br />(C) ZONING COMMISSION <br />(1) There is hereby created a Planning and Zoning <br />Corr -mission for Indian River County, Florida, to be <br />composed of five members appointed as required by <br />the Board of County Commissioners of Indian River <br />County, by resolution. <br />(2) Members of the Planning and Zoning Commission <br />shall serve terms to be determined by the Board of <br />County Commissioners by resolution, and shall be <br />subject to removal from roffira by n i-hroa-fifithS <br />vote of the Board of County Commissioners. Vacancies <br />shall be filled by appointment by the Board of County <br />Commissioners for the unexpired term of any member <br />whose seat becomes vacant. <br />(3) Compensation <br />The Indian River County Planning and Zoning Com- <br />mission members shall serve without compensation but <br />shall be paid actual expenses which expenses shall not <br />exceed allowances as prescribed by State Law. <br />(4) Indian River County Planning and Zoning Commission <br />shall organize, adopt rules, and perform its duties as <br />called for by this Ordinance. Meetings shall be at the <br />call of the Chairman, Vice Chairman or Secretary or at <br />such times as a majority of the members may determine. <br />The Chairman, Vice Chairman or any acting Chairman may <br />administer oaths and compel the attendance of witnesses. <br />All meetings shall be open to the public. Three members <br />shall constitute a quorum and a majority vote of those <br />present shall determine any issue before the Commission. <br />THIS ORDINANCE SHALL TAKE EFFECT ON Decembbr 6 , <br />1976. <br />
