t �m <br />INDIAN RIVER COUNTY ORDINANCE NO. 76-20 <br />AN ORDINANCE AMENDING INDIAN RIVER COUNTY <br />ORDINANCE 73-12, CREATING A ZONING CATEGORY <br />KNOWN AS M-1 RESTRICTED INDUSTRIAL USE: AMEND- <br />ING SUB -SECTION B BY DELETING SUB -NUMERAL 3 <br />UNDER SUB -SECTION B ENTITLED JUNK AND SALVAGE <br />YARDS AND REPLACING SAME WITH THE FOLLOWING <br />AND FURTHER PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE AS <br />FOLLOWS: <br />BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS <br />OF INDIAN RIVER COUNTY, FLORIDA, that Indian River County Ordinance <br />73-12 is hereby amended by deleting Section 22 B-3 and replacing same with <br />the following: <br />SECTION 22. M-1 RESTRICTED INDUSTRIAL DISTRICT. <br />(B) SPECIAL EXCEPTIONS. <br />(3) JUNK AND SALVAGE YARDS. <br />Storage or bailing of rags, iron, paper, wrecked or unusable <br />automobiles or junk, provided the operation is enclosed with a fence not <br />less than six (6) feet in height made of masonry, wood or metal or opaque <br />plastic without openings except for entrance ways and exists, which shall <br />be equipped with non -transparent gates, which walls and gates will obscure <br />the view of said operation. Provided however, cars may be stacked (piled) <br />one on top of the other but not to exceed two (2) in number so long as a fence <br />of not less than eight (8) feet in height made of masonry, wood or metal or <br />opaque plastic shall be erected on all perimeters of said property which <br />abuts a street or a residential zone. All perimeters not abuting a street <br />of residential zone shall nevertheless be subject to the six (6) foot high <br />fence requirement. <br />All fences and/or walls shall be erected on all sides of the property <br />and shall be located twenty-five (25) feet from the front property line and <br />five (5) feet from all other street lines and along the property line where no <br />streets exist. <br />THIS ORDINANCE SHALL TAKE EFFECT ON THE 6th _ DAY <br />OF December , 1976, <br />
