ADMINISTRATOR NELSON WAS HOPEFUL THAT HE WOULD GET AN <br />AFFIRMATIVE RESPONSE TODAY REGARDING THE POSITION OF TRAFFIC ENGINEER; <br />THE ACCUMULATED INFORMATION AND PUBLIC INPUT WOULD ENABLE THE NEW <br />TRAFFIC ENGINEER TO STUDY THE ROAD PRIORITY MATTER MORE EFFECTIVELY. <br />COMMISSIONER WODTKE FELT THE CITY OF VERO BEACH, ALONG WITH <br />THE SCHOOL BOARD, COULD ASSIST IN COORDINATING WITH THE COUNTY TO <br />TRY TO SOLVE THIS TRAFFIC PROBLEM. HE SUGGESTED HOLDING OFF WITH <br />ANY IMPROVEMENTS TO THE RECREATIONAL FIELD THAT MIGHT FURTHER CONGEST <br />THE AREA UNTIL THE BOARD KNOWS WHAT WILL TRANSPIRE. <br />COMMISSIONER FLETCHER FELT A DATE SHOULD BE SET FOR THE <br />PUBLIC TO GIVE THEIR INPUT ON THIS MATTER. <br />WILLIAM KOOLAGE, INTERESTED CITIZEN, EXPRESSED GREAT CONCERN <br />OF THE TRAFFIC SITUATION ON 16TH STREET AND URGED THE BOARD TO GIVE <br />A GREAT DEAL OF THOUGHT TO THE YOUTH OF TODAY, HE COMMENTED THAT <br />THE BOARD SHOULD MAINTAIN A LIST OF ROAD PRIORITIES. <br />ON MOTION BY COMMISSIONER SCURLOCK, SECONDED BY COMMIS - <br />STONER FLETCHER, THE BOARD UNANIMOUSLY AGREED TO ADD THIS ROAD PRIORITY <br />AND COMMITTEE DISCUSSION TO EVERY FUTURE AGENDA UNTIL WE HAVE THIS <br />MATTER SETTLED. <br />DISCUSSION ENSUED AND IT WAS AGREED THAT THE PROBLEMS ON <br />16TH STREET NEED ATTENTION. <br />CHAIRMAN LYONS COMMENTED THAT THE BOARD WANTS TO MOVE <br />FORWARD IN AN ORDERLY FASHION. <br />COMMISSIONER SCURLOCK REITERATED THAT THIS ITEM WOULD BE <br />PLACED ON FUTURE AGENDAS AND SUGGESTIONS WILL BE MADE AT THE NEXT <br />MEETING FOR THE FORMULATION OF A COMMITTEE TO STUDY THIS MATTER. <br />THE BOARD REVIEWED THE FOLLOWING MEMORANDUM: <br />13 <br />600 %7 PAGE 480 <br />
