OCT 7 1981 "BOOK '47 mu -099 <br />Commissioner Wodtke requested adding an item regarding <br />out-of-town travel to Jacksonville for the Florida Shores and Beach <br />Preservation Convention on October 13th through 15th. <br />Administrator Nelson stated he received a formal request <br />from Frank Zorc to be added on the agenda for rebuttal to Attorney <br />Quinn's remarks made at last week's meeting. <br />Mr. Zorc interjected that he wanted to have the same <br />treatment Attorney Quinn received as it is a reflection on his integrity <br />and reputation; he asked for the opportunity to protect his image. <br />Commissioner Bird commented that Attorney Collins wasn't <br />asked to review the ad prior to Mr, Zorc having the ad published in <br />the newspaper. He stated he would not vote to add this item on the <br />agenda. <br />On Motion by Commissioner Bird, seconded by Commissioner <br />Wodtke, the Board unanimously approved the addition of the two <br />emergency items to the agenda, as requested by the Finance Director <br />and Commissioner Wodtke. <br />Motion was made by Commissioner Scurlock, seconded by Com- <br />missioner Fletcher, for the Board to add Mr. Zorc's emergency item <br />to the agenda. <br />The Chairman called for the question. It was voted on and <br />carried with a vote of 3 to 2, with Commissioners Wodtke and Bird voting <br />in opposition. The emergency item was not added due to lack of a <br />unanimous vote. <br />South County Fire District <br />The Board of County Commissioners recessed at 8:50 o'clock <br />A.M. in order to reconvene as the District Board of Fire Commissioners <br />of the South Indian River County Fire District. <br />being prepared separately. <br />Those Minutes are <br />
