OCT 211981 RooK 4 7 <br />INDIAN RIVER COUNTY LIBRARY <br />SPECIAL BOARD OF DIRECTOR'S MEETING <br />OCTOBER 6, 1981 <br />A called meeting of the Executive Committee of the <br />Library Board was held on Monday October 6, 1981 with the <br />ist.Vice President in the chair, and the secretary recording <br />Is <br />the minutes. Attending the meeting were Ken Damerow, <br />Mary Louise Scheidt, Dorothy Weick,Mayor Goff,& Robert Nall. <br />Representing the LibraryAssociation were Coyla Boob, <br />Thomas Fritzlen, Martin Johnson, Stewart Capp and Librarian <br />Betty Rodgers. <br />The purpose of the meeting was to revise the 10 points <br />of the One Year Plan of the Negotiations Committee of <br />June18,1981,so that the County Commission, the Library <br />and the Library Board Executive <br />Association representatives <br />Committee would findAmutually acceptable. <br />The meeting was called to order at 5:30. Mr. Damerow <br />pointed out that most of the ten items are acceptable as <br />they stand, but that Nos. 3, 6, and 8 are causing trouble. <br />After much discussion he proposed that No. 6 & 8 be combined <br />to make a new No. 6 as follows; <br />Strive for a better balance of the collections of books <br />so as to serve all the citizens of Indian River County. <br />No vote was taken but an individual poll showe that each <br />member felt that this new No. 6 was satisfactory. <br />A second meeting of this same group was set for 5:30 <br />Thursday October 8, 1981 to discuss in detail and find <br />a solution for No.3 that would satisfy Mrs. Rodgers <br />and the 3 groups represented. <br />Meeting closed at 7:00 P.M. <br />Dorothy Weick <br />Secretary <br />3 91 <br />
