APPOINTMENT OF FULL-TIME COUNTY ATTORNEY <br />On Motion by Commissioner Scurlock, seconded by <br />Commissioner Fletcher, the Board unanimously approved the <br />appointment of Gary Brandenburg as full time County Attorney, <br />effective as of December 1, 1981. <br />PROPERTY APPRAISAL ADJUSTMENT BOARD <br />Attorney Collins announced that the Property Appraisal <br />Adjustment Board hearings are scheduled to begin Monday, <br />November 16th in the County Courtroom at the Courthouse at <br />8:30 A.M., and he did not anticipate a heavy schedule. <br />ATTORNEY TO REPRESENT COUNTY IN SUIT <br />On Motion by Commissioner Scurlock, seconded by <br />Commissioner Bird, the Board unanimously authorized Attorney <br />Collins to represent the County in a lawsuit filed against <br />the County by Mike Williams as a result of the recently <br />adopted Ordinance regulating the sale of drug paraphernalia. <br />16TH STREET PROGRESS REPORT <br />On Motion by Commissioner Scurlock, seconded by <br />Commissioner Fletcher, the Board unanimously made the <br />following -report on 16th Street a part of the record. <br />TO: The Honorable Members of the DATE: - October 15, 1981 FILE: <br />Board of County Commissioners <br />SUBJECT: 16th Street Progress Report <br />FROM: Neil A. Nelson, REFERENCES: <br />County Administrator <br />DESCRIPTION AND CONDITIONS <br />As directed by the Board during the September 30, 1981 meeting, the following <br />progress report is submitted to the Board to fulfill Placement of 16th Street <br />on each County Commission agenda. <br />The Traffic Engineer was directed by the Board during the Oct. 7, 1981 meeting <br />to study the 16th Street Corridor as his first priority within the study area <br />assigned.
