ORDINANCE NO. 81- 39 <br />AN EMERGENCY ORDINANCE AMENDING INDIAN <br />RIVER COUNTY ORDINANCE NO. 81-24 BY <br />PROVIDING THAT SAID ORDINANCE SHALL <br />BE EXTENDED AND SHALL BE EFFECTIVE <br />FOR A PERIOD OF 210 DAYS OR UNTIL THE <br />INDIAN RIVER COUNTY COMPREHENSIVE PLAN <br />IS ADOPTED AND AN EFFECTIVE DATE. <br />WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Indian River <br />County adopted Ordinance No. 81-24, effective July 9th, 1981, <br />imposing a moratorium on the processing of site plan applications <br />on the North Barrier Island for a period of 120 days or until the <br />Indian River County Comprehensive Plan was adopted, whichever <br />period was shorter, and <br />WHEREAS, the 120 -day period will expire November 6th, 1981, <br />and the Indian River County Comprehensive Plan has not yet been <br />adopted, and <br />WHEREAS, the health, safety and welfare of the residents of <br />Indian River County require that the moratorium be continued until <br />adoption of the Indian River County Comprehensive Plan, <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY <br />COMMISSIONERS OF INDIAN RIVER COUNTY, FLORIDA, That Ordinance No. <br />81-24 be amended providing that it remain in effect for two hundred <br />ten (210) days from the effective date of the Ordinance or until <br />the Indian River County Comprehensive Plan is adopted by the Board <br />of County Commissioners, whichever period,is shorter. <br />This Ordinance shall take effect as prescribed by law. <br />Adopted: November 4, 1981 <br />Effective: <br />November 4, 1981 <br />9 <br />STATE OF FLORIDA <br />INDIAN RIVER COUNTY <br />THIS IS TO CERTIFY THAT THIS IS <br />A TRUE AND CORRECT COPY OF <br />THE ORIGINAL ON FILE IN THIS <br />OFFICE. <br />FREDA WRIGHT, CLERK <br />EOOIt 8 PAGE Q9, <br />
