Cluster residences may include <br />multi -family housing provided the density limitations are <br />not exceeded. <br />LOW DENSITY 2 (LD -2): This district shall provide for <br />residential densities of a suburban nature not exceeding six <br />(6) units per acre in single or cluster residences which may <br />include multi -family residences. <br />MEDIUM DENSITY RESIDENTIAL DISTI:ICTS <br />These districts provide for residential development <br />generally located where particular advantages are offered by <br />virtue of close proximity to shopping and work centers or <br />principal thoroughfares leading to them. <br />PERFORMANCE STANDARDS <br />Lcvelopment/Location Criteria: Medium density residential <br />development shall be located: <br />near major shopping or employment centers; <br />where governmental services can be provided <br />in a cost effective manner; <br />in areas having soil conditions suitable for <br />building, or areas where provisions of the County <br />Flood Protection Ordinance can be met. <br />Design Considerations: The Zoning Code shall incorporate <br />performance standards for: <br />- arrangement and design of structures that permits <br />light, air flow, privacy and emergency access for <br />all dwellings; <br />- off-street parking spaces that meet needs of the <br />development; <br />- buffering living units and outdoor recreation areas <br />10 <br />
