I <br />NOV 181981 <br />U09 PAv 155 <br />On Motion by Commissioner Scurlock, seconded by Commis- <br />sioner Fletcher, the Board unanimously approved the recommendation <br />of the Administrator, as noted in his memorandum of November 3, 1981. <br />PETITION PAVING PROGRAM REQUEST - GLENDALE LAKES <br />The Board referred to the following paving request: <br />TO: The Honorable Members of the DATE: October 30, 1981 FILE: <br />Board of County Commissioners <br />SUBJECT: Petition Paving Program <br />Request to Pave 48th avenue in <br />Glendale Lakes Subdivision <br />FROM: Neil A. Nelson, REFERENCES: <br />County Administrator <br />DESCRIPTION AND CONDITIONS - <br />hIr. Warren J. Richard, official representative of the residents of 48th <br />Avenue, has submitted a Petition to pave 48th Avenue in Glendale Lakes Sub- <br />division. The road is approximately 1150 lineal feet. The County Engineering <br />Department has verified the signatures on the petition as the true owners, <br />and the 13 petitioners oi�m 71.25% of the total front footage. Since this <br />percentage is greater than the 66.7% required by Ordinance 81-27, a valid <br />petition has been received. The road is a dedicated road, maintained by <br />the County. The right-of-way .-1-idth varies from 65' to 351. <br />ALTEPUN0XIVES ANTI) ANALYSIS <br />Since a valid petition has been verified-, the paving of 48th Avenue via <br />the Petition Paving Program is justified. The proper procedure to follow is <br />as follows: <br />1) Approve the Engineering Department to assign a project number <br />to the project. <br />2) Proceed with the design and preparation of a preliminary assess- <br />ment roll <br />3) Approve'_the-scheduling'.of a public hearing as required by the Special <br />Assessment Ordinance. <br />RECOMMENDATIONS AND FUNDING <br />It is recommended that the Board of County- Commissioners authorize the <br />assignment of a project number to the 48th Avenue Petition Paving Project, <br />that the Engineering Division proceed with the design of paving and drainage <br />improvements, preparation of a preliminary assessment roll, and authorize the <br />scheduling of a public hearing as required by the Special Assessment Ordinance. <br />Funding shall be approved at the Public Hearing once the Preliminary <br />Assessment Roll is prepared. <br />
