NOV 181981 <br />The Board reviewed the following memorandum: <br />m®x 48 ?x,457, <br />TO: Chairman, Board of DATE: November 10, 1981 � FILE: <br />County Commissioners <br />SUBJECT: IRC Bid #102 -Spray Paint Booth, <br />Combination, Truck/Auto <br />FROM: Chairman REFERENCES: <br />Bid Committee <br />1. A public meeting was held at 11:00 A.M., October 27, 1981 in the County <br />Administrator's Office, 2345 14th Avenue, Vero Beach, F1. This meeting <br />was advertised on October 1,2,3,1981. <br />2. The purpose of this meeting was to open and record TRC Bid ;#102. This bid <br />was for (1) Spray Paint Booth, Combination, Truck/Auto, Complete for the <br />Vehicle Maintenance Department. <br />2 Bid Proposals sent out, 1 received <br />Coast Auto Paint & Supply $9,900.12 plus freight <br />3. The Mosquito Control has a used Spray Paint Booth which they will sell to the <br />county for $5000.00, to be dismantled and moved by the county. Jack McCorkle, <br />Supervisor of the Vehicle Maintenance Dept. has inspected the Spray Paint Booth <br />and found it to be adequate to the county's needs. <br />4. The Bid Committee recommends this bid be rejected and'that the County purchase <br />the Spray Paint Booth from the Mosquito Control. <br />Fund Account ;102-242-519-66-29 <br />On Motion by Commissioner Scurlock, seconded by Commis- <br />sioner Bird, the Board unanimously accepted the Bid of the Mosquito <br />Control for a Spray Paint Booth, as being the lowest and best bid <br />meeting specifications, in the amount of $5,000.00. <br />The Board of County Commissioners recessed at 12:00 Noon <br />for lunch and reconvened at 1:30 o'clock P.M. with the same members <br />present. <br />
