Planning Director Rever pointed out that Tax Collector <br />Gene Morris issues the occupational licenses, and reported <br />that he has had little luck with convincing the Tax <br />Collector that he should require certain information from <br />the applicant. <br />Attorney Collins felt the license could be issued <br />through any designated county official, possibly the Zoning <br />Department, and any information required by ordinance would <br />have to be supplied. <br />On Motion by Commissioner Scurlock, seconded by <br />Commissioner Bird, the Board unanimously agreed to separate <br />flea markets from the transient merchants; to require a <br />transient merchant to obtain an occupational license and <br />before issuance of such license to provide a written <br />statement of occupation, mailing address, etc.; said <br />merchants to be allowed in commercial, industrial and <br />agricultural districts; the ordinance to be rewritten <br />accordingly and advertised for a public hearing. <br />It was agreed that the subject of flea markets will be <br />readdressed at a future date. <br />REPORT RE INDIAN RIVER SHORES ANNEXATION - 99 YEAR LEASE <br />Vice Chairman Wodtke reported on meeting with <br />representatives of the Town of Indian River Shores and <br />reviewed the following suggested changes to be made in the <br />proposed agreement with the Town in regard to.annexation of <br />a portion of the County Tracking Station Park property. <br />(1) Page 2 - The Town of Indian River Shores wished to <br />delete any reference to a specific number of years from the <br />lease altogether. It was agreed to change 99 years to 50 <br />and add the words "or so long as the County owns the land, <br />whichever period is longer." <br />(2) Page 2 - the original wording was that the Town would <br />waive its rights to pursue annexation of that part of Parcel <br />I lying East of Section 19, Parcel II and Paxcel IV during <br />the term of this agreement; this was changed to say that the <br />NOV 181991 <br />45 MOK 8 PACT176 <br />
