NOV 181981 <br />WK 48 PAt,,E 17 <br />which moved the restroom facilities over, centered most of <br />the parking in a different area, and moved the gazebo back <br />from the dune line. Commissioner Bird commented that <br />actually neither of these plans have been approved by the <br />Parks and Recreation Committee in regard to attaching them <br />as Exhibit "C", but as long as we have the flexibility to <br />make some modifications, he would be fairly comfortable with <br />including one of them. <br />Discussion continued in regard to the plans presented, <br />and Attorney Collins suggested that we could just write <br />"changes to be made" on the plan because he was hopeful that <br />the Board could approve the agreement and get it to the Town <br />in time for their meeting tomorrow. <br />Discussion continued in regard to having the child's <br />play area (tot lot) in a more central location; <br />straightening the walkway from the showers to the beach; and <br />redistributing the picnic pavilions. <br />Commissioner Scurlock felt that would redesign the <br />parking and stated he would like to use Mr. Lloyd's drawing. <br />Motion was made by Commissioner Scurlock, seconded by <br />Commissioner Fletcher, to approve the Agreement between the <br />Town of Indian River Shores and the County as circulated <br />using for the first part of Exhibit "C" (the Tracking <br />Station), the drawing which was approved by the Recreation <br />Committee, and for the second part, the drawing submitted by. <br />Mr. Lloyd, and if there are to be some modifications, <br />include them on this drawing. <br />Further discussion ensued in regard to the various <br />drawings, and Commissioner Bird stated that while he did not <br />mind centralizing the parking, his objection to Mr. Lloyd's <br />plan was that he is spreading a lot of the parking way down <br />in the corner adjacent to S.R. AlA, and this property is <br />almost 1,000' in depth, which would put the parking a long <br />distance from the beach. <br />Argument continued as to where to locate the parking <br />lot, and Vice Chairman Wodtke stated that he would prefer to <br />- 48- <br />
