HOUSING AUTHORITY - SECTION 8 <br />The Board reviewed the following memorandum dated <br />November 19, 1981: <br />TO: i:eil A. (Regan j C' S' <br />Housing and" Community <br />Development Director <br />It is recommended that the data herein presented be <br />given formal consideration by the County Commission. <br />In order to requisition funds quarterly from the <br />U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development to operate <br />our Section 8 Housing Assistance Program; we are required <br />to submit four (4) executed copies of HUD form 52663. This <br />is consistent with our Annual Contributions Contract en- <br />tered into on December 30, 1978. The current contracts <br />terms expire June 30, 1984. <br />I respectfully request the Board of County Commissioners <br />authorize the Chairman to execute the four copies of HUD form <br />52663 for the second quarterly payment. <br />We have had 578 applicants for the program and are currently <br />giving rental assistance to 105 families. This program has been <br />funded by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development to <br />assist 126 families in the amount of $329,664 for fiscal year 1982. <br />The fiscal year 1982 County budget allocation is $3,432. <br />Motion was made by Commissioner Scurlock, seconded by <br />Commissioner Bird, for the Board to approve Quarterly Payment <br />FY 82 of the Annual Contributions Contract - Section 8, and <br />authorize the signature of the Chairman. <br />The Chairman called for the question.
