14 <br />Building Ordinance Continued <br />-14- <br />Code is hereby amended for use in Indian River County as follows: <br />Buildings exceeding one story and 50 feet in height is changed to <br />buildings exceeding three stories or more. The purpose of this change <br />is to require installation of fire fighting equipment on each floor <br />within reach of the most remote area of the building in accordance with <br />N. F. P. A. (14-1968 Edition). <br />16. Elevators. All elevators installed in any structure in <br />Indian River County shall be a minimum 3000# elevator, having a carriage <br />size of five feet six inches by seven feet, and a minimum door size of <br />three feet six inches wide. <br />17. Violations and Penalties.
