JAN 61992 <br />WK .48 PA F 521 <br />LOW DENS?TY RESIDENTIAL DISTRICTS <br />These Districts achieve a development which includes <br />large amounts of open space and related facilities and also <br />achieves a low overall residential density. <br />PERFORMANCE STANDARDS <br />Development/Location Criteria: Within these districts, <br />development shall be located: <br />- in areas having attractive natural surroundings; <br />- in areas having convenient access to <br />transportation systems; <br />- in areas that are separated or buffered by physical <br />- or natural means from major streets, commercial <br />and/or industrial areas; <br />- in areas where governmental services can be <br />economically provided with minimal environmental <br />impact; <br />- where terrain and soil conditions provide a good <br />foundation for buildings and streets; <br />- in areas adequately drained and where <br />provisions of the County Flood Protection Ordinance <br />can be met. <br />Design Considerations: The County Code shall incorporate <br />performance standards for: <br />- adequate off-street parking to meet <br />area needs; <br />- an overall development layout that protects <br />important natural environmental functions and <br />features of the site and the surrounding area; <br />- achieving ma�timum efficiency and economy in <br />providing government services. <br />LOVI DENISITY 1 (LD -1) : This district is characterized by <br />densities of a suburban nature.
