Mrs. Neville then requested the Board grant her the same <br />density and zoning as the land to the north of her 43 acres. <br />Motion was made by Commissioner Lyons, seconded by <br />Commissioner Bird, that the Board authorize this piece of <br />property be included in the MD -1 category, from <br />Agricultural. <br />Discussion followed. It was determined that a <br />legal description will be needed for this property. <br />The Chairman called for the question. It was <br />voted on and carried,.with a vote of 4 to 1, with <br />Commissioner Fletcher voting in opposition. <br />Attorney George Ord, representing Mr. Rogers of <br />Marsh Island, asked the Board to allow maximum density <br />zoning for his client's property. <br />Attorney Brandenburg was satisfied that the Board <br />could limit the density to 4 units an acre. <br />Motion was made by Commissioner Lyons, seconded by <br />Commissioner Bird, that the Board authorize changing Marsh <br />Island from LD -1 to LD -2. <br />The Chairman called for the question. It was <br />voted on and carried with a vote of 4 to 1, with <br />Commissioner Fletcher voting in opposition. <br />Mr. Ely, representing Overseas Development Co., <br />approached the Board to discuss the zoning status in the <br />Granada Gardens Subdivision, plus other lots on Riverside <br />Drive, located approximately one-tenth mile south of <br />Oslo Road on the east side of U.S. #1. <br />Senior Planner Challacqmbe explained that the <br />subdivision has an extreme mixture of uses, but most are <br />heavy commercial.
