INDIAN RIVER COUNTY ORDINANCE NO. 85- 10 <br />AN ORDINANCE OF THE BOARD OF COUNTY <br />COMMISSIONERS OF INDIAN RIVER COUNTY, <br />FLORIDA, AUTHORIZING CERTAIN EMPLOYEE <br />INCENTIVES AND BONUSES AS VALID <br />PUBLIC PURPOSES AND AUTHORIZING THE <br />EXPENDITURE OF COUNTY FUNDS FOR <br />SUCH PURPOSES; PROVIDING FOR DISCLOSURE <br />TO THE COUNTY COMMISSION; INCLUSION IN <br />CODE; SEVERABILITY AND EFFECTIVE DATE. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD <br />OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF INDIAN RIVER COUNTY, FLORIDA, <br />that: <br />SECTION 1. <br />AUTHORIZATION OF CERTAIN INCENTIVE PLANS, <br />AWARDS, CERTIFICATES AND SUPPLIES <br />The County Administrator for Indian River County is <br />hereby authorized to establish County and employee incentive <br />functions and to expend County funds for such purposes. This <br />authorization shall include, but shall not be limited to, employee <br />awards, payments of the cost of employee functions, incentive <br />programs, cash awards for incentive programs, supplying of <br />materials, supplies, uniforms for County athletic teams, sick leave <br />bonuses, retirement dinners or awards, and longevity awards. <br />SECTION 2. <br />DISCLOSURE OF PROGRAM TO THE COUNTY COMMISSION <br />The County Administrator shall disclose all such awards <br />programs or incentive functions to the Board of County <br />Commissioners prior to institution of the program. <br />SECTION 3. <br />INCLUSION IN CODE <br />This Ordinance shall be incorporated into the Code of <br />Indian River County and the word "ordinance" may be changed to <br />"section," "article," or other appropriate word and the sections <br />of this Ordinance may be renumbered or relettered to accomplish <br />such purposes. <br />SECTION 4. <br />SEVERABILITY <br />If any provision of this Ordinance or the application <br />thereof to any person or circumstance is held invalid, it is the <br />legislative intent that the invalidity shall not affect other <br />
