The feasibility of developing the County's beach <br />acquisition parks should be explored as wetl as Joe Earman <br />Marine Park <br />FUTURE LAND ACQUISITION AND PARK DEVELOPMENT: <br />As growth occurs, demand for park land and facilities will <br />increase. <br />A master plan for parks and recreation in the Countv <br />should be prepared. <br />IMPLEMENTATION STRATEGIES : <br />1. General recreation planning tasks: <br />A. Conduct an area-by-area analysis of population <br />characteristics to determine the demand for <br />parks and facilities which should be offered. <br />B. Survey users of existj-ng parks to determine if <br />the provided services are adeguate and what <br />improvements are needed. <br />C. Select, analyze and prioritize new sites for <br />County parks. <br />2. Land Acquisition: <br />A. School sites can be used as a part of the <br />+re-ig&borhood-or- community park system. <br />B. Explore the feasibility of establishing a <br />County park dedication ordinance. <br />C. Taxing districts for development and operation of <br />parks and open space should be created.
