J <br />1 <br />1 <br />A letter f rom the Florida Last Coadt Railway Company was received respecting <br />the discontinuance of a Crossing at utile Post 222 plus 2458 feet. It was ordered <br />the County Lngineer investigate and if this crossing is not being used advise the <br />Railroad Company 'that the discontinuance of same is approved by the Board. <br />It mas ordered that time Warrant #23 in the sum of V1,000.00 be executed and <br />delivered to Paula Jail Building Company, for payment on account of Balance due <br />on Jail contracV,, The Clerk was instructed to advise the Jail Building Company that <br />the balance will be paid in cash as soon as funds are available., <br />WHEREAS, by reason of the limited amount that can be levied for Agricultural <br />purposes, and the amount necessary to be expended in that Fund, there is a deficit <br />therein; and <br />WHEREAS, there appears to be a surplus of funds in the Publicity Fund of the <br />County. <br />THEREFORE, bele , it Resolved by the Board of County Commissioners, that the sum <br />of $500.00 be transferred from the Publicity Fund to the agricultural Fund to meet <br />current obligations due and past due, such transfer to be made only upon the appro- <br />val of the State Comptroller. <br />Upon being put to a vote the foregoing resolution was unanimously adopted. <br />It was ordered that the County Engineer prepare an advertisement to receive <br />proposals for the purchase of gasoline for the year 1931. <br />D. L. Leighe,!r, County Engineer, tendered his resignation to the Board effective <br />December 13th. on motion made by Commissioner Atkin and seconded by Commissioner <br />Hamilton, and carried, the resignation was accepted and H.R.Redstone was designated <br />to take charge of, the County road property and the work on roads until further orders <br />of the Board, I <br />The Sheriff requested the Commissioners to issue him a Time Warrant in the sum of <br />$19000.00 to apply on the amount the county is now indebted to him. un advice of the <br />County Attorney the same was refused. <br />The -several bills and accounts against the County, having been audited, were <br />examined, and found correct warrants were ordered issued in settlement of same. The <br />Bills and accounts being on file in the ClerkIs office. The warrants so issued in <br />settlement of the, bills and accounts being listed completely in the County Finance <br />Record as provided by law,- reference to such recorded list being made a part of these <br />,a <br />minutes as fully and completely as if the said warrants were set out herein in detail. <br />The County Depository filed its ,monthly report showing receipts and disbursements <br />of the various funds, which having been checked over were fouryd to be correct. <br />There being no further business on motion made, seconded and carried the Board <br />adjourned until Tuesday, December 16th 1930. <br />Y22 <br />AT T. e Cha i rman <br />Clerk. d o 0 <br />
