Wednesday, January 13, 1982 <br />The Board of County Commissioners of Indian River <br />County, Florida met in Special Session at the County <br />Commission Chambers, 1840 25th Street, Vero Beach, Florida, <br />on Wednesday, January 13, 1982, at 9:00 o'clock A.M. This <br />was a continuation of the January 6, 1982 Commission <br />Meeting. Present were Don C. Scurlock, Jr., Chairman; <br />r <br />Alfred Grover Fletcher, Vice Chairman; Dick Bird; Patrick B. <br />Lyons; and William C. Wodtke, Jr. Also present were Neil A. <br />Nelson, County Administrator; L. S. "Tommy" Thomas, <br />Intergovernmental Coordinator; Gary Brandenburg, Attorney to <br />the Board of County Commissioners; Jeffrey K. Barton, <br />Finance Director; and Janice Caldwell, Deputy Clerk. <br />The Chairman called the meeting to order. <br />COMMITTEE APPOINT14ENTS AND REAPPOINTMENTS <br />A. Economic Opportunities Council <br />Commissioner Bird advised that Douglas King would <br />serve if there was no one to replace him. <br />Discussion followed, and it was pointed out that <br />Harold Winkler could serve in place of Douglas King; and <br />Barry Sesack and Willie Adams were willing to serve. <br />Commissioner Lyons commented that he would try to <br />find someone to serve. <br />Commissioner Fletcher stated that he did not want <br />to find anyone for this council. <br />On Motion by Commissioner Bird, seconded by <br />Commissioner Lyons, the Board unanimously adopted Resolution <br />82-6 appointing Willie Adams, Barry Sesack and Harold <br />Winkler to serve on the Board of Directors of the Economic <br />Opportunities Council of Indian River County, Inc. <br />The Board requested the Attorney to research the <br />length of time for the appointments. <br />13 , e�a� � P�cE536 <br />JAN W 198 <br />
