Chairman <br />Gentlemen: <br />With reference to the Vero Beach Civic Association's letter <br />of November 11, 1981, directed to the Indian River County Planning <br />and Zoning Commission, which letter recites our position with <br />regard to the proposed cut through and drawbridging at Jungle Trail, <br />we note that this letter was not accepted into the Minutes of the <br />Planning and Zoning Commission as part of the record. We, therefore, <br />submit it as quart of the proceedi in your current deliberation. <br />We further call your attention to the letter of December 14, <br />1981 from the Florida Game and Fresh dater Fish Commission in op- <br />position to proposed marina. <br />We also call your attention to a letter of December 23, 1981 <br />from the Pelican. Island Audubon Society protesting the yacht club. <br />We recite these various documents to complete the record of <br />our position to this contemplated drawbridge -and marina both of which <br />would be highly deleterious to the environment and the orderly movement <br />of traffic on the Barrier -.,Island. <br />We feel the contemplated drawbridge and marina clearly and <br />emphatically are not in the public interest. <br />Sincerely, <br />VERO BEACH CIVIC ASSOCIATION <br />LG:jce - Lomax Gwathmey, President <br />enc.
