FEB noK 48 PArjF 779 <br />1' 219�� <br />Discussion followed regarding the County's <br />responsibility in this matter and it was,determined that the <br />Board does commit the County to $5,000 with this grant. A <br />brief discussion ensued about the grant form and the <br />program. <br />Commissioner Fletcher felt the Mental Health <br />Association was doing an outstanding job. <br />Finance Director Barton explained that this was <br />just the grant application and once it was approved by the <br />State, it would be sent back to the County. If the Mental <br />Health Association does not have the $5,000 in hand, the <br />County does not sign the grant application. He added that <br />this is just stating that the County would be the lead <br />agency; the Board must submit the grant request. <br />Commissioner Wodtke referred to the auditing and <br />asked if they had sufficient funds to provide for this. <br />Ms. Baldwin explained that they had $11,000 from <br />the United Way. <br />Commissioner Fletcher asked if they wish.to hire a <br />coordinator and get some equipment with this money. <br />Ms. Baldwin responded affirmatively. <br />Commissioner Fletcher asked the Administrator if <br />there was any extra equipment to give to the Mental Health <br />Association. <br />The Administrator responded that he knew of none. <br />Motion was made by Commissioner Lyons, seconded by <br />Commissioner Wodtke, that the Board adopt Resolution 82-30 <br />authorizing the Chairman to execute the application for a <br />grant for the Mental Health Association with a cash match of <br />$5,000 to be provided by the United Way. <br />The Attorney advised that he would redraft the <br />proposed resolution. He stated that all the Board was doing <br />authorizing the Mental Health Association to send this <br />application in to the State. The State may approve it and <br />
