I <br />ALTERNATIVES AND AV4LYSIS <br />f P U F "- 80 <br />Since actual land acquisition is probably at least one year away, the County <br />could submit a resolution or letter to the D.N.R. stating that the County would <br />participate in funding beach front land acquisition under the program, but that <br />the amount of participation is not yet determined. During the 1982-83 budget hearings <br />the participation could be quantified. This action would increase the County's <br />chance of receiving state funds. Of the 100 parcels being applied for by coastal <br />counties/cities, four (4) are included in Indian River County. Approximately 1S to 20 <br />will probably be acquired if the State funding goes through. <br />RECONKNIENDATIONS MID FUNDING <br />It is recommended that the County attorney be authorized to prepare a <br />resolution to be executed by the Chairman indicating that the County would participate <br />in the funding of beach front land acquisition under the "Save.Our Coast" program. <br />Funding to be determined during the 1982-83 budget hearing process. <br />Motion was made by Commissioner Fletcher, seconded <br />by Commissioner Lyons, that the Board adopt Resolution 82-31 <br />indicating that the County is willing to participate in the <br />funding of beachfront land acquisition. <br />Engineer Davis commented that the Board could set <br />some level of funding for the next budget. He added that some <br />of our property was so appealing, Mr. Buchanan was encouraging <br />the County to be more aggressive and apply for larger tracts. <br />The Chairman called for the question. It was voted <br />on and carried unanimously. <br />Resolution 82-31 will be made a part of the Minutes <br />when received. <br />BID RECOMMENDATIONS NO. 109 & 110 <br />tabled. <br />Administrator Nelson requested that this item be <br />On Motion made by Commissioner Fletcher, seconded <br />by Commissioner Wodtke, the Board unanimously agreed to table <br />this item. <br />REQUEST TO INSTALL NEW AT&T CABLE <br />The Board reviewed the following memorandum dated <br />January 25, 1982: <br />
