entering on or upon any such lot or parcel of land for the <br />purpose of making such connections. The County shall there- <br />upon be entitled to recover the cost of making such connection, <br />together with reasonable penalties and interest and attorney's <br />fees, by suit in any Court of competent jurisdiction. <br />In addition, and as an alternative means of collecting <br />such costs or making such connections, the County shall have <br />a lien on such lot or parcel of land for such cost, which <br />lien shall be of equal dignity with the lien of state and county <br />and municipal taxes. Such lien may be foreclosed by the County <br />in the same manner provided by the laws of Florida for the <br />foreclosure of mortgages upon real estate. <br />SECTION 6. RATES. <br />A. A rate schedule will be adopted by the County providing <br />for the following user rates: <br />WATER <br />Residential and Commercial <br />(whether individual meter or <br />master meter) <br />First 2000 gallons (Base Rate <br />per Unit) <br />All over 2000 gallons <br />SEWER <br />Residential <br />First 2000 gallons (Base Rate <br />per Unit) <br />All over 2000 gallons <br />Commercial <br />Including schools, public <br />buildings, churches, service <br />stations, retail stores, and <br />all non-residential services <br />RATE <br />$7.10 per month, minimum <br />$1.50 per 1000 gallons <br />RATE <br />$7.10 per month, minimum <br />87% of $1.50 per 1000 <br />gallons up to 10,000 <br />additional gallons, maximum <br />100% of water bill <br />B. DEPOSITS AND SERVICE CHARGES <br />Security Deposit - A refundable deposit will be required of <br />all new customers and reconnected units per the following table: <br />Water Service: <br />5/8 X 3/4" Meter $ 20.00 <br />1" Meter 30.00 <br />1 1/2" Meter 40.00 <br />2" Meter 70.00 <br />3" Meter 120.00 <br />Sewer Service - Equal to water deposit; a water and sewer <br />customer will be 2 times the above table. Sewer only service <br />to franchised water service areas will pay a deposit of 1 1/2 <br />times the above figure. The deposits will ensure final payment <br />of any bill. Accrued interest of the escrowed deposits will be <br />applied to Operation and Maintenance Revenues, to hold down <br />general service charges. <br />-2- 0 <br />
