Florida Community Realth Center <br />The Florida Community Ifealth Center is a non-profit corporation <br />dedicated to providing primary health care. This program is designed <br />to meet the needs of -migrants, seasonal farm workers, and the rural <br />poor. However, anyone who is in need -of care is eligible for the <br />center's medical services. All medical services are supervised by <br />highly trained physicians, most of whom are bilingual, and trained , <br />nurses, so that anyone requiring care may be assured of receiving <br />the finest. This program covers the following counties: Martin, <br />Hendry, Okeechobee, St. Lucie, Indian River, Glades, and Palm Reach <br />The overall goals of the Economic Opportunities Coun K of I.R.C., <br />Inc. Headstart -og* m is to provide enriched exp Yences for the three, <br />four, and five year old chi 'r n of ow i c6 e families u <br />} 1 n m fam ilio through. five <br />component areas namely education, s- ci-13,ervices, special needs, health <br />and parent involvement, s at, a greater degree o- social competence <br />is realized. <br />Social ompetence may be defined as, "The child's effect\ ness in <br />deali g with his envir. �t� ater responsibilities in schocl and <br />e." <br />.3. East Coast Self -Help Housing, Inc. <br />The East Coast Self-help 11ousing, Inc. is a non-profit program that <br />aids low income families within Indian River County to obtain a decent <br />and sanitary home. <br />This is a self-help program there families are required to work <br />cooperatively together as a group. <br />L <br />
