Wednesday, March 17, 1982 <br />The Board of County Commissioners of Indian River <br />County, Florida, met in Regular Session at the County <br />Commission Chambers, 1840 25th Street, Vero Beach, Florida, <br />on Wednesday, March 17, 1982, at 8:30 o'clock A.M. Present <br />were Don C. Scurlock, Jr., Chairman; Alfred Grover Fletcher, <br />Vice Chairman; Dick Bird; Patrick B. Lyons; and William C. <br />Wodtke, Jr. Also present were David L. Greene, Assistant <br />County Administrator; L. S. "Tommy" Thomas, <br />Intergovernmental Coordinator; Gary Brandenburg, Attorney to <br />the Board of County Commissioners; Jeffrey K. Barton, <br />Finance Director; Curtis Stone, Bailiff; and Virginia <br />Hargreaves and Janice Caldwell, Deputy Clerks. <br />The Chairman called the meeting to order. <br />Commissioner Fletcher led the Pledge of Allegiance to <br />the Flag, and Commissioner Wodtke gave the invocation. <br />ADDITIONS TO AGENDA <br />The Chairman asked if there were any additions to the <br />Agenda. <br />Commissioner Lyons requested adding an item regarding a <br />report on his activities in connection with the Library. <br />On Motion by Commissioner Lyons, seconded by <br />Commissioner Wodtke, the Board unanimously approved the <br />addition of the emergency item to the Agenda, as requested <br />by Commissioner Lyons. <br />Attorney Brandenburg requested adding an item regarding <br />a resolution for the undeveloped Barrier Island; a contract <br />regarding Pebble Bay sewage area; negotiations on garbage <br />franchises; and a franchise agreement with the City of Vero <br />Beach for water, sewer and electric utilities. <br />On Motion by Commissioner Lyons, seconded by <br />Commissioner Wodtke, the Board unanimously approved the <br />MAR 171982 80,0K 49 PALE143 <br />
