As far as he is <br />concerned, that road will never be abandoned, and it is his <br />intention to establish that 50' right of way to the river <br />even if we have to go to court to do it. Commissioner <br />Wodtke noted that possibly the maintenance map has created a <br />problem rather than solving anything, but felt that can be <br />corrected. <br />Commissioner Lyons stated that the more he listens to <br />the people, the more he believes that the Board's position <br />in 1979 was the proper one. He hoped that all the interests <br />of the people involved can be settled amicably and that we <br />can get together and end up with the question of Quay Dock <br />Road settled once,and for all. <br />Discussion followed in regard to settling this matter <br />without going to court, and Attorney Brandenburg stated that <br />if there is any way to do it amicably, there is no purpose <br />in going to court, and that would be our goal. <br />Chairman Scurlock wished to clarify that the Commission <br />has never taken the position that the road isn't ours, and <br />-- in further discussion, the Board concurred that their <br />position is that the road is the County's. <br />DISCUSSION RE USE OF EXECUTIVE SEARCH FIRMS <br />The Board reviewed the following memo: <br />W <br />
