Mr. Greene recommended that we keep an open mind and <br />invite representatives to a future Board meeting so they can <br />present their concept; then this matter could be explored <br />further. <br />Motion was made by Commissioner Lyons, seconded by <br />Commissioner Fletcher, that the Board accept the <br />recommendation of the Assistant Administrator, as indicated <br />in his memorandum dated May 11, 1982. <br />Commissioner Lyons felt this was a very good idea. <br />The Chairman called for the question. It was voted on <br />and carried unanimously. <br />ADDITIONAL COMPENSATION FOR DR. C. B. HARDIN <br />Assistant Administrator Greene suggested that C. B. <br />Hardin's salary be increased to the level that the <br />Administrator vitas being"'paid annually of $35,587.50, which <br />would be the interim compensation from June 4th until a new <br />Administrator was hired. Mr. Greene added that June 4th <br />would be his last day of work with the County, and it was <br />the beginning of a new pay period. <br />Motion was made by Commissioner Fletcher, -seconded by <br />Commissioner Lyons, that the Board approve the interim <br />compensation of $35,587.50 for C. B. Hardin, beginning <br />June 4, 1982, until a new Administrator was hired. <br />Discussion then turned to the Assistant Administrator's <br />salary, which was $32,800 a year. The Board felt they were <br />remiss in not paying the Administrator's salary of <br />$35,587.50 to Mr. Greene during the time he acted as <br />Administrator, and should give him some retroactive <br />consideration. <br />The 'Chairman called for the question. It was voted on <br />and carried unanimously. <br />Motion was made by Commissioner Lyons, seconded by <br />Commissioner Bird, that Mr. Greene be paid at the $35,587.50 <br />rate for the period of time he acted as Administrator, and <br />that he be given a letter of recommendation. <br />MAY 26 1982 11 - <br />
