Wednesday, June 2, 1982 <br />The Board of County Commissioners of Indian River <br />County, Florida, met in. Regular Session at the County, <br />Commission Chambers, 1840 25th Street, Vero Beach, Florida, <br />on Wednesday, June 2, 1982, at 8:30 o'clock A.M. Present <br />were Don C. Scurlock, Jr., Chairman; Alfred Grover Fletcher, <br />Vice Chairman; Dick Bird; Patrick B. Lyons; and William C. <br />Wodtke, Jr. Also present were: David L. Greene, Assistant <br />County Administrator; L.S. "Tommy" Thomas, Community <br />Services Director; Gary Brandenburg, Attorney to the Board <br />of County Commissioners; Jeffrey K. Barton, Finance <br />Director; and Virginia Hargreaves and Janice Caldwell, <br />Deputy Clerks. <br />The Chairman called the meeting to order. <br />The Reverend Ronald E. Wright gave the invocation, and <br />Commissioner Lyons led the Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag. <br />ADDITIONS TO AGENDA <br />The Chairman asked if there were any additions to the <br />Agenda. <br />Commissioner Lyons requested adding an item regarding <br />out -of -County travel to a meeting of the State Association <br />of County Commissioners on June 23, 1982. <br />On Motion made by Commissioner Lyons, seconded by <br />Commissioner Bird, the Board unanimously approved the <br />addition of the emergency item, as requested by Commissioner <br />Lyons. <br />Commissioner Wodtke requested adding an item regarding <br />the issuance of a Proclamation designating June 6th through <br />June 12th as National Child Abuse Prevention Week. <br />On Motion made by Commissioner Wodtke, seconded by <br />Commissioner Bird, the Board unanimously approved the <br />addition of the emergency item, as requested by Commissioner <br />Wodtke. <br />9 w- cru <br />JUN 21982 <br />
